Summary

Location:

The Cave House is in Kula Kai View Estates, which is a gated community near Ocean View and Naalehu, in Ka'u District of Hawaii County (Big Island), Hawai'i, USA.  This is the most  southern district in the most southern county in the United States. It is near Volcanoes National Park, secluded beaches and South Point.

Accommodations:

The house has 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Kitchen, and Utility/Laundry room  (Sleeps 6-8). The Cave House is on a three acre lot and overlooks a lua* with four cave entrances. The cave entrances are visible from the front porch and the ocean can be seen through the trees. A lua or puka is like a sinkhole, it is the result of the collapse of the ceiling above a lava cave. This usually happens when the lava cools as it stops flowing. The Cave House is a 3 minute drive to the village of Ocean View, with its stores and services, two restaurants, gas station, shopping area, grocery store and hardware store, etc. .
