Large Living Room

The living and dining area is combined in vaulted ceiling room in the center of the house it is approximately 30 by 33 feet.

The dining area has a counter height glass top dining table with eight chairs.

 

Kitchen
The kitchen is completely equipped with all new stainless steel appliances, the usual place settings and complete kitchen supplies.

The range has a smooth top cooking surface, the refrigerator a bottom freezer, a reverse osmosis water faucet is located at the kitchen sink to provide a ready supply of the purest water possible.

 

Three Bedrooms

Each of the three bedrooms has a king-size adjustable air bed. These are similar to the sleep number beds that are widely advertised, only better. Each bed has two adjustable chambers, so the firmness can be adjusted over a range of 50 levels to perfectly match each person's comfort level. If you still sleep on an innerspring mattress you may not want to go back to it after a week sleeping on this air bed at the Cave House at Kula Kai.

 

Utility Room

The large capacity front loading washer and dryer are available and can be used for such items as blankets.

 

Bathrooms

Both baths have walk-in showers and comfort height toilets.

 

Handicapped Accessible

There are no steps in the house and the volcanic red cinder has been placed around the house allow a level no steep access to all entrances.

Only wide 36 inch doors have been installed in the house for easy access.

 

Porch and Cinder Patio

One has a panoramic view of the puka and cave entrances in natural sunken garden from the chairs in the shade of front porch. 

The front porch runs the sixty foot width of the house and is seven feet deep and red volcanic cinder forms a large patio roughly level with the porch to the edge of the puka. The ocean can be seen though the trees.  A spectular view of the coast line is available from the back of the lot or on Kona Kai Boulevard two blocks east of the Cave House

 

Communication

Several rooms are wired for internet through Aloha Broadband. A computer is available or you may also want to bring your own laptop and connect to the work station through Aloha Broadband.
